JAM-Boree

Although I am stoked to be in North Carolina where it is not in the 60s in June, I am bummed to miss this small festival in Western New York. There is so much talent around where I grew up and it is great to see it showcased. So every time there is an event that I wish for people to check out, I am going to put in on my page. Plus if I send people any more facebook events, they might kill me.

Although the site is down there, I want to showcase some awesome bands that will be there.
The line up is as such:

GIANT PANDA GUERILLA DUB SQUAD > If you have not heard of these guys.. you are not from Western New York. I owe them all the javalove that I have found at St. Lawrence University. They were my first Java show and I was hooked! Although they have undergone some changes over the last year, I believe they still hold on dub music. This a fantastic version of one of my favorite songs by them. Pretty signature of their sound.

THE BREAKFAST> Must have back at the Java Barn soonnnn
EKOOSTIK HOOKAH
THE FAMILY DINNER
UNIVERSE SHARK
ROSTER McCABE
THE FUNKY BEETS
AQUEOUS> I hope people who read my blog will like these guys because they are going to be blowing up my blog. The first time I saw these guys was on "SOULIVE DAY." God I love Buffalo. After leaving an amazing free show near Pearl StreeT [Where they did a whole Beatles jazz section of the show... AH!], I went to the Pearl Street Grille with Tom and checked out the after party. Aqueous was playing that night and honestly I think I scared the sound guy I was so into their umphrey's guitar sound that I insisted their sound guy give them a note telling them I wanted them to come to the Java Barn. I have been following or rather stalking this band ever since and now am helping booking. I think they are the next "giant something" as their recently released album is so nicely titled. Check them out and let me know what you think!

LITTLE MOUNTAIN BAND
EFFECTIVE RESOLUTION
DRIFTWOOD
PEANUT BRITTLE SATELLITE> Although I have been unable to see these guys live yet, they have been chosen as some of the finest musicians in Buffalo right now. They bring some real progressive rock music to the table.
WHITEWOODS
BIG MONEY
